MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Customs (BOC) and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency confiscated three parcels containing 9,160 ecstasy tablets valued at P15.6 million abandoned at the Central Mail Exchange Center (CMEC) in Pasay City.

CMEC sub-port collector Mark Almase, in a report to BOC district collector Mimel Talusan, said the illegal drugs were hidden in parcels declared to contain clothes and shoes.

The parcels, which arrived in the country on Feb. 26, were sent from the Netherlands by Victor Martiz and consigned to Nikki Deximo of Dasmariñas, Cavite, according to Almase.

He added that the parcels were considered abandoned since the consignee did not claim them after 10 months.

The seized illegal drugs were turned over to PDEA for further investigation and case buildup against the consignee on charges of violating drug and customs laws.
