Makati, Grab partner for vaccination center
MANILA, Philippines — Grab Philippines and the city government of Makati have partnered to launch a vaccination facility to inoculate up to 7,000 economic frontliners.
The Grab–Makati vaccination center started operating on Wednesday to provide an additional channel for economic frontliners to get inoculated.
Located at the Wilcon IT hub along Chino Roces, the vaccination center operates from Monday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The facility can vaccinate up to 400 workers per day and will strictly cater to vaccinees who have received official confirmation from the city government.
Makati has provided the center with 14,000 vaccine doses. AC Health will be administering the vaccines on site.
“Vaccinating our economic frontliners requires a concerted effort from the city government and our community stakeholders. This partnership with Grab will help accelerate the inoculation of our workers,” Mayor Abby Binay said.
“By getting more economic frontliners inoculated, we are helping protect the lives of workers and supporting businesses to recover from the pandemic,” Binay added.
Grab has also patnered with the Department of Transportation and Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board to boost the government’s vaccination program.
