BOC seizes shabu stashed in CCTVs

MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Customs (BOC) has confiscated at least one kilo of shabu stashed in four units of closed-circuit television (CCTV) to be exported to Auckland, New Zealand.

Members of the BOC Enforcement and Security Service Customs Anti-Illegal Drug Task Force and Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service intercepted the contraband valued at P6.1 million on Wednesday.

BOC agents said they inspected the shipment declared as CCTVs and a video recorder after receiving information that it contained drugs.

The BOC turned over the contraband to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
