MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Bong Go visited families affected by a fire in Port Area, Manila on Tuesday.

Go’s team led the distribution of meals, financial assistance, food packs, vitamins, masks and face shields to a total of 1,200 families or 2,960 individuals at the Manila South Harbor. The beneficiaries were divided into small batches to ensure all health and safety protocols were strictly observed throughout the activity.

Selected recipients were given new pairs of shoes and bicycles. The team also gave away computer tablets to help students cope with the blended learning set-up implemented by schools.

Go urged community leaders to raise awareness and educate their constituents on fire safety.
