10-hour blackout to hit Ifugao, Vizcaya

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines – A 10-hour power outage will hit the entire Nueva Vizcaya and the 10 towns of Ifugao province today, the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) said yesterday.

The blackout, starting from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., will affect Asipulo, Banaue, Hingyon, Hungduan, Kiangan, Lagawa, Lamut, Mayoyao and Tinoc towns in Ifugao and the areas served by Nueva Vizcaya Electric Cooperative Inc.

The power outage is due to the replacement and relocation of electric posts along the Bayombong-Lagawe line segment and the repair of a power circuit breaker at the Bayombong substation, said Lilibeth Gaydowen of the NGCP.
