2 AFP officers get new positions

MANILA, Philippines - The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) announced yesterday the reassignment of two of its senior officers holding key military positions.

AFP deputy chief of staff Lt. Gen. Anthony Alcantara was designated as commander of the Northern Luzon Command (Nolcom), which Maj. Gen. Noel Coballes, chief of the Army’s 1st Infantry “Tabak” Division, was named as the new head of the Western Mindanao Command (Westmincom).
