4 hectares of marijuana plantation in Agusan del Sur raided

BUTUAN CITY ,Philippines  – Operatives of various law enforcement agencies uprooted marijuana plants in a four-hectare plantation in Sitio Mactan, Barangay Kasapa 1, Loreto town in Surigao del Sur Thursday evening.

A report of the Caraga Philippine National Police (PNP) regional information office said government authorities discovered the marijuana plantations after conducting month-long surveillance operations in the area.

The uprooting and documentation process was on its third day as of yesterday given the huge volume of fully-grown marijuana plants.

But police authorities have yet to identify the owner of the land, saying they are still conducting an investigation of the incident.
