-

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – A laborer who was trying to clean debris of storm Cosme in a house in Castillo St., Barangay Maniboc here died Friday of electrocution when he accidentally touched a live wire not knowing that power supply has been restored after two weeks.

Dead on the spot was Ramel Zarate, 29, single, of Luna St., Binmaley town.

He died while cleaning the compound of one Armina Madarang.

Police investigation showed that the victim accidentally touched a wire used as clothesline which was allegedly grounded with electricity.

The management of the Central Pangasinan Electric Cooperative has been reminding the public to be careful about electric wires as power is being restored in several areas after Cosme toppled down their electric posts that resulted in massive power interruption for several weeks already. – Eva Visperas
