Agusan celebrates 36th anniversary

Butuan City — The provinces of Agusan del Norte and Agusan del Sur celebrate today its 36th anniversary with President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo as the guest of honor.

Arroyo will visit Agusan del Sur tomorrow after spending the night at a local hotel here.

The President will meet with the Ulamas and this city’s bishop Juan de Dios Pueblos as well as with other priests and religious leaders.

She will also spearhead the closing ceremonies of the week-long Naliyagan Festival at the Naliyagan Plaza in Patin-ay, Prosperidad town of Agusan del Sur. — Ben Serrano
