                    [Summary] => PROSPERIDAD, Agusan del Sur — This Caraga province is girding for its week-long Naliyagan Festival which will showcase its agricultural products, among other activities, at the 60-hectare provincial Capitol grounds here.


"All is set for the festival of all festivals, the Naliyagan, and everybody is invited," said members of this year’s festival executive committee headed by former Agusan del Sur governor Valentina Galido Plaza as honorary chairwoman.


"Naliyagan" is a Manobo term which means "smitten" by Nature’s bounty.

                    [Summary] => Butuan City — The provinces of Agusan del Norte and Agusan del Sur celebrate today its 36th anniversary with President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo as the guest of honor.


Arroyo will visit Agusan del Sur tomorrow after spending the night at a local hotel here.


The President will meet with the Ulamas and this city’s bishop Juan de Dios Pueblos as well as with other priests and religious leaders.
