BGYO Gelo handpicked by Vietnamese artist for 1st collab

MANILA, Philippines – P-pop meets V-pop in an explosive international collaboration.
Gelo Rivera of BGYO has officially stepped onto the international stage, teaming up with Vietnamese pop star Vu Thao My for the high-energy dance track “Zealous (Ga San Moi).”
The Vietnamese version of the song dropped on April 21, followed by the English release on April 24 across major streaming platforms, giving fans worldwide a taste of this cross-cultural collaboration.
During a media huddle, Vu shared that she personally selected Gelo for the project.
“I was looking for someone who can match the energy of the song, and Gelo was perfect for it,” she said, describing him as “fun, energetic, and natural.”
Gelo, in turn, called the experience “memorable, extraordinary, and cool,” highlighting the strong creative synergy between them.
Both performers expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support from Filipino and Vietnamese fans. Vu gave special mention to BGYO’s fandom, the ACEs, for their warm reception and enthusiastic messages.
More than just a collaboration, “Zealous” represents a milestone moment for P-pop and V-pop. The Vietnamese artist hopes it paves the way for more international partnerships.
“I hope this opens so many doors and breaks barriers,” she said. “This should happen more often — and I hope it inspires other artists to do the same.”
