MANILA, Philippines — 3 Doors Down lead singer-songwriter Brad Arnold has died after a battle with cancer. He was 47.
Arnold’s death was confirmed through the band’s official Instagram page.
The 3 Doors Down singer passed away peacefully in his sleep, it added.
“As a founding member, vocalist, and original drummer of 3 Doors Down, Brad helped redefine mainstream rock, blending post-grunge accessibility with emotionally direct songwriting and lyrical themes that resonated with everyday listeners,” the band wrote in a statement.
The band is known for the hits “Here Without You” and “Kryptonite,” the band’s breakout piece he wrote during his math class at 15 years old.
The band announced in May 2025 that Arnold had been diagnosed with stage 4 kidney cancer.
