DOH to build lying-in clinic in Consolacion

CEBU, Philippines -  The Department of Health will build a lying-in clinic in one of the mountain barangays in Consolacion town, although the exact date for the start of the construction has not been specified.

In a talk with The Freeman, Mayor Teresa Alegado said the municipal health office could hardly attend to the large number of residents seeking attention.

Alegado said building a clinic in a mountain barangay would make the residents there happy considering that they could save on transportation, and would not anymore risk their lives while travelling in motorcycle taxis, or “habal-habal,” to get to the lying-in clinic in barangay Poblacion Oriental.

“Mao na nga nangita gyud ta ug mga paagi ug nakita nato nga ang pagtukod ug lying-in clinic sa atong bukiran nga barangay gikinahanglan gayud kaayo,” Alegadio said.
