MANILA, Philippines — Most parts of the country can expect fair weather in the next three days because of the monsoon break, with chances of scattered rains due to localized thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the southwest monsoon may return by Thursday and prevail over the ridge of a high-pressure area that is causing hot and humid weather.

The state weather bureau said a typhoon with international name Hinnamnor may enter the Philippine area of responsibility by Wednesday or Thursday.

Though its projected track shows that it will move toward the general direction of Taiwan or Southern Japan, it may affect Northern Luzon.

PAGASA, in a weather update yesterday, said another cloud cluster sighted east of Luzon may form a low-pressure area this week that may also affect Northern Luzon.
