ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines — Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso assured his Mindanao supporters on the Thursday that there will be no more war in the region is he is elected president.

This as his supporters vowed not to switch support to any candidate in the face of the latest Pulse Asia survey showing him tailing at a far third spot from Vice President Leni Robredo, who is herself behind presidential aspirant Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.

"I assure you there will be no war under my administration," Dumagoso told the Muslim leaders and supporters from the Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi in a dialogue on Thursday,

Moreno said peace in Mindanao and the entire country would create prosperity and security for the Philippines.

He said he will not make a decisions that will hurt feelings or ruin anybody's life. "Let there be peace in the Philippines. Let there be peace in 7,100 islands"

"We can bring back the glorious days of our country. We, together can bring prosperity to every family in the country. Huwag kayong susuko mananalo tayo (don’t give up, we will win)," Domagoso said, addressing his supporters.

Engineer Salahudin Usman, coordinator of Isko Kami, said the supporters who attended the dialogue were there voluntarily and had not been bussed in.

"It might not be much but it could actually represent enough volunteers and shows actual head counts of supporters of Mayor Isko Moreno," Usman said.

"Now, in terms of his rating, we value and respect the survey, but it’s not enough to put us down or make us even switch to another candidate," he also said.

"For whatever reason that caused him to lag behind in this survey and I keep that opinion for myself. But as far as the 'Isko Kami' are concerned, we are in full support for his campaign," Usman added.
