MANILA, Philippines  — In an advisory, Unioil Philippines said motorists should expect fuel prices to go up next week.

“Diesel should increase by P0.30 to P0.40 per liter. Gasoline should increase by P0.40 to P0.50 per liter,” it said.

Global oil prices managed to end the past trading week on a positive note on the back of optimism about recovering fuel demand worldwide, Reuters reported.

This would be the fourth week gasoline prices increased and the eighth week for diesel and kerosene.

Last week, gasoline prices were increased by P1.05 per liter, diesel prices by P0.85 per liter and kerosene prices by P0.30 per liter.

This brought the total year-to-date adjustments to stand at a net decrease of P5.67 per liter for gasoline, P9.14 per liter for diesel and P13.39 per liter for kerosene.
