2013 Career Executive Service awards now open for nominations

MANILA, Philippines - The Career Executive Service Board (CESB) is now accepting nominations for this year's Presidential Gawad CES Awards.

The Gawad CES nomination is open to all Career Executive Service Officers and third level eligibles who are presidential appointees and appointed to CES positions.

The deadline for nominations is on September 30.

President Benigno Aquino III shall lead the recognizing of the awardees in a ceremony to be held at the Malacañang Palace.

The annual Gawad CES program honors exemplary government executives who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and achievements in public service.

The presidential award also recognizes government executives who have rendered significant contributions in the areas of innovation, information and communication technology, social service, administrative reforms and public policy.

It was established on March 28, 2008.

The 2012 awardees include DSWD Undersecretary Alicia D. Bala, DTI-Kalinga Provincial Director Grace F. Baluyan, DSWD-Region II Regional Director Arnel B. Garcia, DOST Region IX Regional Director Brenda N. Manzano, and DepEd-Dumaguete City Division Superintendent Ramir B. Uytico.

The winners received a plaque of recognition, a medal and P100,000 cash.
