Blackpink complete at Met Gala 2026 as Jisoo makes event debut

MANILA, Philippines — All members of Blackpink attended the 2026 Met Gala, marking the first time the Korean girl group was complete at arguably fashion's biggest night.
Lisa, Jennie, Rosé and Jisoo — the latter making her Met Gala debut — all individually hit the red carpet steps outside The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
Traditionally held during the first Monday of May, the Met Gala is a benefit event for the museum's Costume Institute and draws the biggest names in lifestyle, entertainment and pop culture.
The theme of this year's event was "Costume Art", meant to highlight the human form's relationship with fashion as wearable art form, hence guests were asked to wear outfits that depict the body as a canvas.
Rosé wore a black gown from Yves Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello — her third time working with the fashion house and designer for the Met Gala — emphasized by a thigh-high leg slit and a giant, sparkling bird brooch.
She was styled by Law Roach, who also attended, by wearing jewelry from Tiffany & Co., including a notable diamond necklace.
Jennie, making her fourth consecutive appearance at the Met Gala, hit the red carpet in a strapless column gown from Chanel by Matthieu Blazy made of blue-silver sequins.
The dress reportedly took 540 hours to make, complete with the help of stylist Sam Woolf. A twisted updo hairstyle and razor-thin eyebrows allowed attention for Chanel High Jewelry pieces made of gold and white diamonds, particularly dangling earrings.

Lisa made her Met Gala debut last year and this time she is a member of the hosting committee — a first for a K-pop artist — with the likes of Sabrina Carpenter, Sam Smith, Doja Cat, Teyana Taylor, Misty Copeland, A'ja Wilson, Gwendoline Christie, Elizabeth Debicki, Angela Bassett and Rebecca Hall.
The Thai singer went all out wearing an outfit by Robert Wun sparkling sheer white gown with a veil held up by 3D-printed arms, molded from her own body and posing like traditional Thai dance positions.
For her Met Gala debut, Jisoo donned a glittering pink strapless, backless column dress from Dior by Jonathan Anderson with sequins and fabric petals, complementing the pinks in her makeup and hair.
On the red carpet the artist said the entire look took up to five hours to put together, including Cartier jewelry consisting of a choker, diamond earrings, and four rings.
Last year all of Blackpink sans Jisoo attended the Met Gala ahead of the group's "Deadline" world tour which ran from July 2025 to January 2026, including two shows in the Philippines last November.
A month after the tour ended, the girl group released their "Deadline" extended play which carried the singles "Jump" and "Go."
Elsewhere at the 2026 Met Gala, Korean singer EJAE and Audrey Nuna made their event debut, another milestone for two of the singing voices from "KPop Demon Hunters".
Their colleague Rei Ami was not present making Huntr/x incomplete, though voice actor Ahn Hyo-seop did attend.
