NET25 talents Sofi Fermazi and Nicky Gilbert hope to work with Kathryn Bernardo, Donny Pangilinan

Two of the newly launched talents of NET25 Batch 1 Star Artists Management have expressed their hopes of working with Kathryn Bernardo and Donny Pangilinan whom they admire the most in the showbiz industry.

Singer, actress and host of MPJ Network’s Millennials Lifestyle Sofi Fermazi and actress and model and host of MPJ Network’s Simply Exquisite Nicky Gilbert have recently signed with NET25 to become part of its talent agency. They are co-managed by Gleam Artists Management.

Sofi is “super grateful” to be joining NET25’s new breed of artists. “This opportunity is rare… I know that we waited for a bit long for us to start our workshops and I’m just super happy that we’re able to do these kind of things now and hopefully in the future as well,” she stated in a media interview during Star Kada Red Carpet Culminating show held recently at the EVM Convention Center of the NET25 Compound Eagle Broadcasting Network.

“Well, I’m sure we will be able to do it in the future because we are here and I’m just really happy about that,” she added.

For Nicky, becoming a member of NET25’s talent center is a “blessing” for her. “Being in a big network in NET25 Star Center, it’s been a blessing for me and my family of course,” she remarked.

It has always been a dream of hers to be an actress since she was a kid. “And when I learned that I got into NET25, it really shocked (me) and made me really happy. And I learned a lot (through) all the workshops that we (underwent)… It’s such a blessing and opportunity.”

The two fresh faces of NET25 also would like to work with Kathryn and Donny, given the opportunity.

“The actress that I really look up to (in showbiz) is Kathryn Bernardo,” Nicky told The STAR. “Because when I watched her in The Hows of Us, I was really fascinated by her acting. It’s like dibdib na dibdib niya pero ako din nafi-feel ko din yung character inside of her. So she became my idol.”

Sofi said the same thing, “You can feel the soul in her eyes while she’s acting. And now that she has a new film, they said that we can see a new side of her. I haven’t watched it yet but I’m looking forward to seeing it in cinemas and I just really loved her style, especially when she is crying.

“Every time I see her cry, I feel it and I also cry as well. Yun po yung gusto ko din pong ipahatid sa tao when I cry as well.”

Both are excited to watch A Very Good Girl, Kathryn’s film with Dolly de Leon.

Asked about their “showbiz crush” whom they would like to work with as well, they answered Donny.

Nicky explained, “Actually, when I first saw him act, I was moved by his acting. Like (what) I said about Kathryn Bernardo, hindi po pilit, it’s very natural, how he acts. Kahit alam mo yung weakness and strength ng isang actor pero sa kanya hindi niya pinapakita.

“He is being natural in front of the camera and off cam. So we’re really looking forward to working with Donny Pangilinan someday.”

Echoing Nicky, Sofi shared, “He is very kind as well to his co-workers and also to his love team. That’s what I really appreciate (about) love teams is how they care for each other no matter (what) the situation (is) because they’re always together. It’s really nice to see that he is kind to everyone.”

Nicky and Sofi will soon appear in KADA25, a new youth-oriented show series of NET25.

The NET25 Star Center Management is headed by Eric Quizon and Ara Mina with Wilma Galvante as production consultant.

Nicky and Sofi were discovered during the Gleam Artists Management and MPJ Entertainment Productions’ acting workshop facilitated by actor, director and event organizer Perry Escaño.
