MANILA, Philippines (Updated 7:15 p.m.) — Last June 23, K-pop group Momoland announced that they are visiting the Philippines this August in the hopes of meeting their Filipino fans as well as actress Liza Soberano, who they want to dance with them their latest single, “Bboom Bboom.”

Momoland recently made waves on social media as its “Baam” music video showed Momoland members wearing Filipino traditional costumes and waving the Philippine flag, with Filipino jeepneys at the backdrop.

Liza has been rumored to look like Momoland member Nancy, while Liza’s recent dance moves in her primetime fantasy series “Bagani” has been compared to that of Momoland’s “Bboom Bboom” dance steps.

In a recent interview with Liza for her launch as Nivea’s new endorser, asked the actress if she indeed looks like Nancy and if she is willing to dance “Bboom Bboom” with Momoland.

“Ako po ‘di ko nakikita personally. She’s really beautiful, but ako po, I don’t see that we look alike. But she’s really very beautiful and talented,” Liza said.

Although Liza seemed surprised to know that Momoland wants to dance “Bboom Bboom” with her, she is willing to take the invitation.

“I don’t know how to dance, baka mapahiya lang po ako. But that would be a great experience!” she enthused. — Video by Kat Leandicho
