Kara lives up to manager Annabelle’s challenge

MANILA, Philippines - Only when Kara Mitzki promised to “behave,” do her level best and follow the (pieces of) advice dished out to her did she got the nod of Annabelle Rama to manage her.

“Tita Annabelle turned me down the first time I applied to her,” revealed Kara during her concert 56K with Kara & Khel with Michael “Khel” Pangilinan last Saturday night at the Music Museum.

“I am impressed with Kara,” admitted Annabelle who quit in managing stars aside from her own children, “kaya pumayag akong mag-manage uli.”

Kara opened her concert with lively renditions of Dance Again by J.Lo, Crush by Jennifer Paige and Insensitive by Jann Arden, before doing a Beauty and the Beast duet with Duncan Ramos.

The venue was jam-packed by supporters led by Annabelle Rama and husband Eddie Gutierrez, former Cebu Mayor Mike Rama, Charlie Gonzales, Isabelle Duterte and Jobert Sucaldito (Michael’s manager).

Guest performers Hashtag Nikko, Kiel Alo, Anthony Rosaldo, Ezekiel Hontiveros and Vice Ganda, under the musical direction of Ivan Lee Espinosa. Back-up vocals were Marnie Jereza and Sammy Gaddi.

Produced by Front Desk Entertainment Production, the concert was supported by Henry and Lily Chua, Manny and Norski Garcia, Nixon and Adela Teng, Guiguinto (Bulacan) Mayor Boy and wife Precy Cruz, Boy Abunda, Laarni Enriquez and Annabelle herself, and presented by Tapa King, Aficionado Germany Perfume, Estiara, Livergold, Quadro Frames, Hannah’s Beach Resort, Xentro Malls and Isabela Gov.
