JM de Guzman ‘just friends’ with Jessy Mendiola

MANILA, Philippines — JM de Guzman denied he has reconciled romantically with Jessy Mendiola even as they were recently spotted in a mall and about to watch a movie.

"Hindi po, just friends," replied JM when asked if they're back together. "Nagkabalikan 'yong communication, 'yong bonding."

The Kapamilya actor is also happy to establish a friendship with his ex-girlfriend since they were not as good friends before.

"Wala kaming friendship no'n e, kasi nang niligawan ko siya dere-derecho na," he confessed. "Walang friendship, commitment agad. Ngayon iba ang feeling na magkasama kami pero 'di kami."

JM is also overwhelmed with the success of his film "That Thing Called Tadhana," where he starred with Angelica Panganiban.

This also serves as his major comeback in showbiz after being gone for a while to address personal matters.

Now that he's back and warmly welcomed by his fans, JM doesn't dwell on the pressure that comes with it.

"Ang bigat talaga ng pressure. Ayaw ko na ulit magkamali, ayaw ko na ulit masayang," he explained. "Talagang kinukundisyon ko ang utak ko na mag-focus sa work."

He will soon be part of an upcoming teleserye with ABS-CBN.
