La Bohéme opera slated for Oct. 18-19
MANILA, Philippines - The most romantic opera of all time, La Bohème enthralls music lovers of all ages on Oct. 18 and 19 at the Samsung Hall of SM Aura Premier. Lexus Manila, A-Team & SM Aura present the new production of MusicArtes.
Director Anton Juan and designer Otto Fernandez set Giacomo Puccini’s beloved story of bohemian life in a view to the sky. Conductor Jonathan Velasco directs an ensemble of musicians from the Manila Symphony Orchestra. The intimate and brilliant new production stars Rosa Ponselle awardee Filipina soprano Margarita Giannelli, celebrated guest singers American Tenor Scott Ramsay, Italian-Brazilian Baritone Fernando Araujo, rising soprano Myramae Meneses, Nonon Baang, Greg de Leon, Michael Bulaong and Viva Voce.
