The Voice Phl champ in HK for Globe

MANILA, Philippines - The Voice Philippines Season 1 winner Mitoy Yonting (photo) topbilled the recent Globe Kababayan Jam at the Chater Road in Hong Kong, entertaining thousands of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in attendance with his unique vocal prowess. The musical extravaganza featured a rock-themed contest where 10 of the best OFWs in Hong Kong vied for singing supremacy in front of a live audience.

The top vocalists took home cash prizes by earning the most number of votes through Globe telco partner CSL’s Facebook page “likes,” as well as through the mobile app Yo!, which offers instant messaging and low-rate calls to Globe and TM numbers in the Philippines. The audience was also treated to snacks, souvenir items and instant photo prints. Customers who registered to Globe tipIDD for HK$10 at the concert received a total of 12 free minutes worth of IDD calls and qualified them to win one of three Samsung Galaxy smartphones and three iPhone 5cs in a raffle.
