Angel walks the red carpet at the International Emmys

Angel Locsin walks the red carpet as a Best Actress nominee (for the ABS-CBN fantasy-adventure Lobo, with Piolo Pascual) at the International Emmy Awards held the other day in New York. She lost to one Julie Walters. The International Emmy Awards should not be confused with the Emmy Awards in which US shows compete. The two awards have different set of judges. Other Philippine TV shows nominated this year were Kahit Isang Saglit (also from ABS-CBN), starring Jericho Rosales and Carmen Soo; and Magdusa Ka (from GMA), starring Dennis Trillo and Katrina Halili. Three years ago, the ABS-CBN late-night newscast Bandila was nominated in the same awards.
