Motown stars in one album

MANILA, Philippines - In celebration of Motown’s 50th anniversary, MCA Music releases six new compilations of Motown superstars. Joining The Definitive Collection series are discs from The Temptations, Gladys Knight & The Pips, Four Tops, Diana Ross & the Supremes, Smokey Robinson & The Miracles and DeBarge.   

Diana Ross & the Supremes, Smokey Robinson & the Miracles, Stevie Wonder, the Temptations, the Four Tops, Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson & the Jackson 5, Lionel Richie & the Commodores, the Marvelettes, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, Gladys Knight & the Pips, their music communicated and brought together a racially divided country and segregated society, around the world, touching people of all ages and race.

Each album in the series contains original stereo recordings, each digitally remastered, and a booklet featuring classic photos and extensive liner notes. 

The collection consists of:  

The Temptations — The Definitive Collection, which begins with its 1964 pop smash The Way You Do The Things You Do.

Gladys Knight & The Pips — The Definitive Collection focuses on their tenure on Motown’s Soul label from 1967 to 1973. 

Four Tops — The Definitive Collection is indispensable to any fan of ‘60s Motown. 

Diana Ross & the Supremes — The Definitive Collection showcases the most popular female vocal group in history with all 12 of their No. 1 pop hits. 

Smokey Robinson & the Miracles — The Definitive Collection brings together their astonishing run of ’60s smashes.

DeBarge — The Definitive Collection pays tribute to one of the most popular young R&B pop acts of the ’80s. 

Each collection, available at record stores, is priced at P290.
