Minimum PUJ fare in CV is now P7

The minimum jeepney fare for Central Visayas is now P7, announced Romulo Bernardes, regional director of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board, in a press conference last night.

The LTFRB signed yesterday morning the order granting the second P.50 provisional fare increase, which set the fare at P7.

Bernardes however said the full implementation of the P7 minimum fare will be on Monday June 30. Transport groups welcomed the increase but said it will not stop them from pushing through with their strike. — Ferliza C. Contratista/RAE
