Globe pioneers live mobile TV viewing with ‘myGlobe G-TV’

-
Just a year after Globe Handyphone pioneered video streaming in the Philippines, the leading lifestyle innovator has used this application to develop yet another life-enhancing service: myGlobe G-TV, which allows Globe subscribers to watch their favorite local television programs on their mobile phones.

Globe has partnered with the country’s top television networks so that viewers of ABS-CBN and GMA-7’s programs may tune in to their favorite shows wherever they may be in the country.

While this service is initially available to Globe Plan subscribers with streaming-capable handsets such as the Nokia 6600, 3650, 3660 and 7650 with RealOne Player, this new service opens up exciting new possibilities for mobile infotainment.

"Now, our subscribers can catch their favorite programs or be the first to hear breaking news even when they’re out of their homes and are on-the-go" said Ane Guzman, Globe senior marketing manager for value-added services.

Powered by Globe’s cutting-edge technology, this first-of-its-kind service is easy enough to access and even easier to use. For subscribers whose streaming service is already activated, all they need to do is go to the myGlobe WAP site, click on myGlobe G-TV under "What’s New," select their desired channel and they can start enjoying G-TV.

Globe Plan subscribers who want to activate G-TV on their handsets can simply call 730-1000 or 211 from their Globe Handyphone toll-free. Subscribers with a Nokia 7650 handset can download their RealOne player from www.myglobe.com.ph into their computers so that they can install it on their handsets.
