Livestock, aqua feeds firm to mark 10th yr at Agrilink

-

Korea-based livestock and aqua feeds company CJ Philippines Inc. (CJP) will mark its 10th year of successful operations in the country with an exhibit of its world-class products during the Oct. 4-6 staging of Agrilink, Foodlink and Aqualink 2007 at the World Trade Center Manila.

Making up the country’s biggest and most prestigious annual international trade show on agribusiness, food and aquaculture, Agrilink/Foodlink/Aqualink serves as the perfect venue for CJP to celebrate and showcase its success in making its products contribute to the development of the livestock and aquaculture industry, according to the Foundation for Resource Linkage and Development, the event organizer..

From the time the company started its plant operations in San Rafael Bulacan in 1997, CJP strived to become synonymous with excellence in the local feeds industry.

That was 10 years ago when Cheil Jedang Corp. of Korea put up its Bulacan plant after establishing CJP as a takeoff point for global expansion. This fateful decision was inspired by the vast potential of the local market and the good relations between the Philippines and South Korea.

The initial plan was just to share the company’s expertise with the local industry. But from 1997, it has since grown to become one of the major players in the feeds business. The Bulacan plant has been ISO 9001:2000 certified since 2003, proof of its worldclass quality systems and procedures. Now its products are available nationwide through an efficient and reliable distribution network.

To guide its people in servicing customers, CJP launched a program that focused on the three keys to a booming livestock business — nutrition excellence, genetic preference, and management expertise.

Thus in 2002, CJP also established its own multiplier farm in Macabaklay, Gapan, Nueva Ecija. Known as Dondon Farm, it has over 1,000-head capacity and produces the best genetic line for hogs.

The high quality of CJP’s products stems from the commitment of its employees to adhere to the company’s core values – honesty, teamwork, respect for individual, entrepreneurship, creativity, and customer focus — all being practiced in its other global affiliates.

So for 10 years, the company has been providing excellent products and services to its ever-growing market in the Philippines.

Nonetheless, CJP also owes its continuous growth to the unending support of its loyal distributors and dealers, whom it regards as business partners. They have enabled the company to expand its market reach, not only in Luzon, but also in Visayas and Mindanao.

Likewise committed to help improve the quality of life in its host community, the company has embarked on several outreach programs like medical and dental missions, school assistance and water pump projects. Since 2003, the company has been the top taxpayer in its revenue district.

All such attributes can be gleaned from the company’s 2007 theme “Our Excellence, Your Success.”

CJP’s industry peers and loyal patrons can learn more about the company and its products at Agrilink/Foodlink/Aqualink 2007, which is co-organized by the FRLD with some 20 national trade associations, and supported by the Department of Agriculture, National Agricultural and Fishery Council and the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, with the ABS-CBN Regional Network Group as media partner.
