French companies joining RP’s international aggie, food expo

-
Leading companies in France are joining the Philippines’ biggest and most prestigious international trade show on agribusiness and food.

This was revealed by the French Chamber of Commerce (FCC), which had firmed up its particpation in the Agrilink/Foodlink 2005 slated at the World Trade Center Manila on Oct. 6 to 8.

The FCC’s participation is made possible through the French embassy in Manila and the Ubi France.

The FCC is setting up a pavilion at the Agrilink/Foodlink 2005, which is geared to showcase the world’s best practices, products, and technologies to help the country’s agribusiness and food industry attain global competitiveness by making all players in the supply chain fully efficient.

The French Pavilion will exhibit the famous Sasso strains of poultry breeders, Sepalm duck and goose breeds. Dosatron water-powered dosing technology, and the best wines from Bordeaux, Bourgogne, Vallee Du Rhone, and Loire Valley in France, among others.

A global leader in farm poultry selection, Sasso produces over a hundred million of high-quality chicken products in France and distributes breeders in many countries worldwide.

Sasso’s investments in research and its participation in similar projects of the SYSAAF (French Poultry-farming and Aqua-farming Selectors Syndicate) and the INRA (French Agronomic Research Institute) have regularly improved its selection methods, feeding and management of breeders, and their quality and economic performance, thus producing high-standard and highly-profitable poultry that can easily be recognized by consumers.

A wholly-owned subsidiary of Sasso, Sepalm has its own breeding centers, hatcheries, feedmills and processing plants specializing in duck and goose breeds.

Sepalm’s pekin duck is the world’s most-raised breed because of its fast growth, feed conversion rate, and lack of dimorphism between the sexes, while its muscovy ducks are noted for disease-resistance and economic importance to the French market.

On the other hand, Dosatron’s water-powered dosing technology enables the automatic and proportionate infusion of concentrate into the drinking water for livestock nutrition, medication and vaccination, or for the application of liquid fertilizers into irrigation water.

Also to be featured are the products of Fiee des Lois, one of the 10 largest wine producing companies in France. Fiee des Lois produces 75 millions of bottles of wines, generating revenues of approximately 100 million euros.

Through Le Cellier Quality Store Corp., Fiee des Lois’s "Export Club" selection of the finest wines will form part of the wide array of products and technologies from France and the rest of the world that will go on exhibit at the Agrilink/Foodlink 2005.

These twin international events are supported by the Department of Agriculture and National Fishery and Agricultural Council, and co-organized by the Foundation for Resource Linkage and Development (FRLD) with some 20 industry associations nationwide.

Inquiries and/or reservations can be made with FRLD (tel. 8384549, 8384852; fax 8384573, or email [email protected], or website www.frld.org/agrilink).

Agrilink and Foodlink are also geared to generate business opportunities, retail sales, booked orders, marketing tie-ups, joint ventures, and other lucrative transactions between the exhibitors and the hordes of local and foreign visitors and trade buyers.
