Tarlac government to set up office complex in New Clark City
MANILA, Philippines — The provincial government of Tarlac has signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) to set up offices and other institutional facilities in New Clark City.
Under the MOA, the Tarlac provincial government will occupy a 52-hectare area within New Clark City.
Of the total land area to be occupied, five hectares will be used for the development of offices, while 47 hectares will house the provincial government’s other institutional facilities.
“Finally, we have a place in the center (of the) biggest hub, the most vibrant place in Central Luzon,” Tarlac Governor Susan Yap said.
This, as New Clark City has been getting interest from both local and foreign investors.
Located in Capas, Tarlac, New Clark City is the country’s first smart, green and resilient metropolis.
It has generated strong interest from local and foreign investors, particularly after the country’s hosting of the 30th Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) last year.
New Clark City was among the venues for the SEA Games.
