Termite radar tech launched in Phl

-

MANILA, Philippines - A state-of-the-art device that combines three technologies to accurately detect, locate and confirm the presence of destructive termites and track the locations of the pests’ nests, leads and entry points, was recently acquired by a Philippine-based pest control firm – Cabuayo Pest Control Services (CPCS).

This Australian-made termite-detection radar allows CPCS to carry out a non-destructive and non-intrusive inspection work on building facilities utilizing what it calls the “Termatrac T3i” which precisely identifies the location of termites.

Its termal-sensor accurately detects heat sources generated by termites within common building structures, while its moisture-sensor easily detects concentrated presence of moisture which termites need in order to survive and multiply.

CPCS general manager Jose Pabale, pest control officer of Nestle Philippines for 24 years, said “the gadget is placed on suspected surface area(s) to detect termites movement, thus data on its activity level is displayed on a personal digital assistant (PDA).”

CPCS, whose services include: pest management consultancy, training in systematic good housekeeping, integrated pest management and general pest control against termites, rodents and insects, has been providing anti-pest services for a number of multi-national food corporations as well as residential units of posh villages since 1993.
