Kong. del Mar mitaliwan sa edad nga 79

CEBU, Philippines — Nakurat ang Sugbo sa pagtaliwan sa usa sa mga beteranong magbabalaod nga Sugboanon nga si Cebu City North District Congressman Raul del Mar. Mibubo og mga pahasubo ang tanang kaubanan ni del Mar sa panerbisyo sa publiko.

Iyang gihulagway si del Mar nga usa na ka institusyon sa pagserbisyo niini sa siyudad sud taas nga panahon. Gipangamahanan niya ang daghang mga balaudnon nga nakabenepisyo dili lang ang mga Sugboanon kondili hasta ang katawhang Pilipino.

Si Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia  mihulagway nga maoy usa sa labing tinahod nga kongresista sa Sugbo. Ang duha nagkauban sa kongreso sa dihang nahimo usab si Garcia nga kongresista sa tresero distrito sa lalawigan sa Sugbo sulod sa duha ka termino.

“Kahibalo ka, si Congressman Del Mar pareho to sa akong amahan di gyud mo-absent sa session and he would always arrive on time and never leave until ma adjourn (ang session). He was that conscientious with his duty as congressman,” matud ni Garcia.

“We have lost a great Cebuano,”matud ni Garcia.

Si del Mar mitaliwan sa edad nga 79 niadtong adlaw nga Lunes. Ika-siyam na niya nga termino isip representante sa North District sa siyudad ug kasamtangang sakop sa 18th Congress (Hulyo 2019-Hunyo 2022) sa House of Representatives.

Si House secretary-general Jocelia Bighani Sipin mikompirmar sa kamatayon sa kongresista. Si del Mar kanhi House Deputy Speaker Raul de Mar sa Ubos Balay Balauranan.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and his constituencies in the First District of Cebu City, whom he had served well. He was a mentor to me and many others. He would have been a deputy speaker under my term,” matud pang Speaker Lord Allan Velasco sa giluwatan niini pamahayag.
