CEBU, Philippines — Mga kawani sa Cebu City Hall nga nagpositibo sa paggamit og ilegal nga drugas sa gihimong mga surprise drug test miabot na og 42, walo kanila mataktak sa trabaho samtang ang uban sunod sab nga taktakon sumala pa sa City Legal Office.
Si City Office for Substance Abuse Prevention (COSAP) Head Jonah John Rodriguez miingon nga sa lima ka mga trabahante nga nadugang, duha ang gikan sa City Assessor’s Office ug matag usa gikan sa Office of the Mayor, Department of Public Services, ug Office of the City Civil Registrar.
Daan ng adunay 37 ka mga kawani ang nagpositibo sa surprise drug screenings nga gipahigayon sa COSAP sugod Nobiyembre 8.
Sa 37 ka mga trabahante, lima ang gikan sa Market Operations Division; 10 ang gikan sa Prevention, Restoration, Order, Beautification, and Enhancement team; siyam ang gikan sa Department of Engineering and Public Works; upat ang gikan sa Department of Public Services; tulo ang gikan sa Department of Manpower, Development and Placement; duha ang gikan sa Department of General Services; duha ang gikan sa Parks and Playground Committee; ug ang matag usa gikan sa City Registrar’s Office ug Operation Second Chance. Ang lima niini miluwat na sa katungdanan.
Samtang, gibutyag ni City Legal Officer Rey Gealon nga duna nay 13 ka job order ug casual employees nga positibo sa paggamit og ilegal nga drugas ang girekomendar ng taktakon sa trabaho.
Matud ni Gealon nga gimandoan ni Mayor Edgardo Labella ang Human Resource and Development Office nga mo-isyu og notices of termination sa walo ka mga trabahante gikan sa DEPW, duha gikan sa DGS, duha gikan sa Parks and Playgrounds, ug usa gikan sa OSC.
“The rest of those who tested positive in the surprise drug test conducted by COSAP will follow suit. Due process was accorded to the respondents, nonetheless,” sigun ni Gealon. /IBM (BANATNEWS)
