MANILA, Philippines—Faith has a way of keeping one’s spirit warm and dry and that is what the world has seen in the eyes and the rain-soaked Filipinos who came all the way from their homes to hear Pope Francis celebrate Mass at the Quirino Grandstand in Rizal Park (formerly Luneta). Many may have doubted that the pope would ever get close to them, but the Argentinean pope did not disappoint as he made rounds aboard the popemobile, greeting as many people as possible in the shivering cold.
