Mandaue PIO wins Asia Pacific Stevie Awards

CEBU, Philippines — The Mandaue City Information Office bagged a bronze award at the 11th Asia Pacific Stevie Awards 2024 for its communication campaign to bring “government closer to the people.”

The information office won the bronze award through the Move Mandaue campaign dubbed as “Move Mandaue: Bringing The Government Closer To the People Through A Branding Campaign.”

The award was under “Innovation in Community Relations or Public Service Communications” category.

“Move Mandaue Campaign is now officially an internationally-recognized initiative for having our entry: Move Mandaue: Bringing The Government Closer To the  People Through A Branding Campaign recognized as a Bronze awardee in the recent APSA 2024,” said the information office in their Facebook post.

The PIO recognized the support and trust of Mayor Jonas Cortes to their office, as well as of the leadership of their Department Head and Public Information Officer Karla Victoria Cortes, and of the patronage of Mandaue City residents for the program.

The 2024 competition received more than 1,000 nominations from 25 nations and territories.

The Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards is an international business awards competition that is open to all organizations in the 29 markets of the Asia-Pacific region.

The focus of the awards is on recognizing innovation in all its forms, says its website.

The winners were announced during the awarding ceremony, which is the only awards program to recognize business innovation throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

 The 2024 Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards have recognized organizations in Australia, Cambodia, mainland China, Hong Kong SAR, Estonia, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Vietnam. (CEBU NEWS)
