New Spectral CT Scanner
CEBU, Philippines — The Cebu Doctors Group of Hospitals (CebuDoc Group) had the blessing and inauguration of a new CT scanning facility on September 13.
Located at the ground floor level of the Cebu Doctors University Hospital along Osmena Boulevard, a Philips IQon Spectral CT Scan machine now serves as the facility’s primary scanner. It is the first facility of its caliber in the country to have such an advanced medical machine.
Designed with detector-based scanning functions, the computed tomography scanning machine can render accurate CT scans at the least amount of time, apart from decrease the necessity for repeat scans.
It also comes with an “Ambient Experience” feature that affords patients with the option to watch movies or immerse themselves in visual and aural renderings – thereby lessen their stress levels while undergoing CT scan procedures.
The new scanning equipment’s inauguration is part of the Cebu DocGroup’s continuing advance towards offering the best of healthcare treatment options in the Visayas and Mindanao regions. (YRST)
