Say a little prayer

CEBU, Philippines -  A practical way to keep one’s ego and feelings in check is to say a little prayer upon waking up in the morning and upon going to bed at night. Saying a prayer is in a way acknowledging that there is a Power that rules overrules everything. This power makes everything what they are – and they are made that way for a purpose.

Saying a prayer can also bring a feeling of confidence and assurance to the person doing it. Especially if the prayer is said in earnest, it can make the praying person feel that a Supreme Power is directing his day and protecting him. Yet this feeling will not go to his head, for he will always be conscious that it is a product of prayer, that it is something he is blessed with and not of his own making.

In the same way, prayer can make one more forgiving. In praying one may feel like he is nothing g on his own, and that everything that comes his way is by the will of a Supreme Power. Again, in acknowledging that everything that happens has a purpose, one knows that no matter how difficult or hurtful he will ultimately benefit from whatever comes his way.

There are unseen forces around that affect how everyone experiences life. Modern science confirms this. But one does not need to be a scientist to make these forces work favorably in his life. He only needs to say a little prayer.  (FREEMAN NEWS)
