CEBU, Philippines - Bigger possibilities are up with the opening of the newly renovated Cebu Grand Ballroom of Marco Polo Plaza.

The opening was timed for APEC 2015, the delegates being the first to experience the upgraded facility.

From the original size of 756 square meters with the capability to accommodate 500 guests on a banquet set-up, the Ballroom is now 1,099.6 square meters and can comfortably sit up to 800 guests. It can also be divided in three different ways, making it a really flexible venue for different kinds of events.

“Cebu is a top destination in the Philippines,” said hotel general manager Julie Najar. “We upgraded the Grand Ballroom because the MICE market for regional, national and even international groups is growing fast.  There is a need for a bigger venue and [we] wanted to address that.”

Aside from making the Cebu Grand Ballroom bigger, Marco Polo Plaza also upgraded the audio-visual equipment. Acquired from different parts of the world such as China, Italy, USA, Germany and Japan, the new set of technical equipment matches international standards.

Continuous Improvement is one of the core values of all Marco Polo Hotels. It is part of the hotel chain’s commitment to guests to always offer something fresh and exciting at the hotel.
