MANILA, Philippines — Gilas Pilipinas was able to retain its spot at 31st in the FIBA World Rankings after the 2019 World Cup in China.

Despite the Filipino cagers going winless and finishing last in the tournament, their rank remain unchanged.

However, Gilas' regional rival Korea was able to overtake the Philippines after moving two places up to 30th.

Team USA was also able to retain their top spot in the rankings despite missing out on the podium and finishing at seventh place.

Meanwhile, recently crowned world champion Spain is hot on its heels at second place.

Gilas' fellow Group D contender Angola moved up seven places in the rankings to 32, just behind the Filipino cagers.
