MANILA, Philippines — Unscathed Marinerong Pilipino collides with iWalk today, pursuing a mission to clinch a Top Two finish and a twice-to-beat bonus in the quarterfinals from Group A in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

Tip-off is at 3:30 p.m. with the playoff-bound Skippers (4-0) shooting for their fifth straight win that will solidify their hold of pole position in Group A along with the assurance of a win-once bonus in the upcoming post-season.

Unblemished Group B leader BRT Sumisip Basilan-St. Clare (3-0) returns from a three-week break, taking on McDavid- La Salle Araneta (0-3) in the 1:30 p.m. curtain raiser. Hazchem and Asia’s Lashes collide at 5:30 p.m.

Expected to lead the charge for Marinerong Pilipino are ex-pros Eloy Poligrates and Mark Yee who have been stamping their class in the D-League, with their latest win coming at the expense of neophyte Asias’ Lashes, 73-51.

With other top-notch players in Jhonard Clarito, JR Alabanza and Dan Sara, the Skippers are heavily favored over the Chargers.

But head coach Yong Garcia remains cautious of the dangerous iWalk.
