MANILA, Philippines — Adamson seeks to bounce back from a heartbreaking defeat to Lyceum of the Philippines University as it clashes with College of St. Benilde today in the Filoil Flying V Preseason Cup 2019 in San Juan City.

The Falcons’ comeback bid fell short after losing to the Pirates by a hairline, 81-82, at the Filoil Flying V Centre last Friday that sent the former screeching to their first defeat after overpowering the Emilio Aguinaldo Generals, 89-65, in their first outing last week.

The Blazers, on their part, are likewise aiming to make up for a 57-70 defeat to the Pirates last May 6 in a game where several of their players sat out because of their commitments in the PBA D-League.

Justin Gutang, Yankie Haruna, Clement Leutcheu and Unique Naboa, however, are set to return and suit up for CSB in time for its 3:15 p.m. duel with Adamson.

Adamson, however, would need another strong effort from 6-foot-5 rookie Aaron Fermin, who was held to just four points in its loss to LPU after erupting for 21 points including four booming triples in a win over EAC.

“This pre-season tournament is a good test run for our rookies and new players. Winning and losing here I’m sure will make them stronger,” said Adamson coach Franz Pumaren.
