17 show way in Pasay stagfest
MANILA, Philippines — Seventeen from a huge field of 84 posted two victories each to set the pace in the Luzon Breeders Cup nine-stag derby at the Pasay City Cockpit last Friday.
Action resumes today with the remaining batch of participants, including walk-in entries, clashing in today’s elims round backed by Sagupaan Superfeeds and Complexor 3000, according to organizer Nick Crisostomo.
Bobby del Rosario of Davao (Mangzee 7, 9 and 10) and Mapher Uy of Laguna (Luisiana S Maxxx 2 and 3) head the early leaders’ roster that includes Ariel Galang, Jimmy Gosiaco, Celso Evangelista, Eric dela Rosa, Vic de Jesus, Mandy Garcia, Rap Patio, Rico Calicdan, Nelson Uy/DC, Teng Ranola, Dax Ganzon and Patricio Asoy.
Meanwhile, the other derby dates at PCC are on Aug. 17 (semifinals) while the four-stag finals for two to four pointers is on Aug. 20. Those with 4.5 and five points will tangle in another four-stag finals on Aug. 24.
