MCC opens fitness gym to public

TUBOD, Lanao del Norte, Philippines – The Mindanao Civic Center (MCC) sports complex’s state-of-the-art fitness center is now open to all exercise and fitness buffs, athletes, and persons undergoing physical rehabilitation.

During the turn-over ceremony Nov. 17, MCC Fitness Gym Club, Inc. president Lyndon Calica invited the public to take advantage of top-of-the-line exercise and body building equipment available at sports complex.

“We hope that through this public-private partnership, we will be able to promote more the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle and doing regular exercise among the residents of Tubod and nearby municipalities,” said Gov. Khalid Dimaporo.

The fitness center is situated at the ground floor of MCC grandstand and is part of the support facilities available at the complex.

The fitness gym has a complete line of free weights as well as weightlifting machines designed for circuit conditioning.

Other equipment include treadmills, exercise cycles, leg press and leg curl machines, pull-down machines for the large back muscles, bench press equipment for the chest muscles and a shoulder press machine.

All equipment in the gym are certified and manufactured by leading strength training equipment makers from the United States.

The one-time gym membership fee is pegged at P1,000 with monthly fee set at P500. Non-members pay P100 per session.

Members are assisted and guided by well-qualified instructors to ensure safe and proper use of the gym equipment.

The MCC fitness gym is open Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
