Karong gabii na gyud mahukman ang mga kandidata sa Miss Cebu 2015 sa ilang pre-pageant kung diin ilang ipakita ang ilang katakos sa pagrampa sul-ob ang mga maanindot nga design sa inilang young designers sa Sugbo sama nilang Ronnie Yu, Rei Escario, Charmaine Chua, JP Cabigon, Mikee Yapching, Joyce Maw, Mary Ty ug Bree Esplanada. Pero sa dili pa’ta mutikang sa Ayala Terraces karong gabii, dinhi sa Banat News Hugyaw (BNH) walo na sa 12 ang atong naila ila. Karon lain na pung duha ka kandidata atong ila ilahon, sila mao si:

BNH: NGANUNG NIAPIL KA SA MISS CEBU 2015?

Catherine: Unlike any other candidates my purpose for joining Miss Cebu started with a dare on Facebook. I realized that this dare became a dream-come-true which opened a lot of doors for me. Miss Cebu is not only a beauty pageant but it is a pageant with a cause. By joining this pageant I know that I will learn a lot of things which will improve myself and I believe that I can give pride to my beloved town, Argao.

BNH: Who encouraged you to join?

Catherine: My friends and colleagues encouraged me to join since they don’t want me to regret in the future.

BNH: Who is your greatest competitor in the pageant?

Catherine: I can say that this pageant is a tough competition since all of us are beautiful and smart. And because of that I consider myself as my greatest competitor in this pageant. I have to conquer my inner negative thoughts first and I have to improve the way I carry myself in front of anybody else. I didn’t consider this pageant as a competition but rather an opportunity for me to improve myself and to become a better version of Catherine Mier.

BNH: Wha is your dream in life?

Catherine: My dream is to have a life full of contentment, peace in my heart and happiness. I pray that in this journey I can touch other people’s lives and be an instrument of change. So that when the time comes as I look at my grave I can smile and say that “I have lived my life to the fullest.”

BNH: What is your dream in life?

Hanica: To serve the public as a government lawyer.

BNH: What is your advocacy?

Hanica: Community Based Programs in Career and Technical Education (CTE)

BNH: Why that advocacy?

Hanica: As President Ramon Magsaysay once said, “those who have less in life should have more in law.” CTE offers the poor and marginalized groups economic opportunities by providing them relevant training purposively designed to catalyze the creation of livelihood enterprises.

BNH: What will be your project should you be crowned Miss Cebu 2015?

Hanica: I would want to invite local government units (LGUs), non-government organizations (NGOs), and people’s organizations to actively participate and cooperate in delivering CTE to people living in areas that have limited or no access to formal training or education.

Duha na lang ang wala nato mapakita dinhi sa Banat News Hugyaw, atangi sila karong Lunes aron makumpleto na ang 12 ka mga maanyag nga kandidata. Kinsa gyud kaha ang makaangkon sa maong korona ug muhulip sa  reigning Miss Cebu Diane Muego? Upat na lang gyud ka adlaw sa dili pa ang coronation night busa sa mga ganahan maka witness sa labing prestihiyosong pageant sa Sugbo, mapalit ang tickets sa Cebu City Tourism Office ug diha sa lobby sa Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.
