Bagong swim tournament para sa kabataan

MANILA, Philippines — Magbabakbakan ang mga bagitong swimmers sa Langoy Pilipinas swimming tournament na darayo sa iba’t ibang lungsod sa Luzon, Visayas at Mindanao.

Target ng torneo na makatuklas ng mga bagong talento mula sa iba’t ibang panig ng bansa.

Hindi lamang ang mga nasa eskuwelahan ang pakay ng grupo maging ang mga less fortunate children at out-of-school youth.

“The tournament is open to all Filipino young swimmers, regardless of their affiliations and religions. Everybody is welcome. We’re currently in close coordination with partnered LGU’s so we can identify those less fortunate swimmers in their respective community to join the event,” ani organizing committee chairman Darren Evangelista.

Idaraos ang torneo sa Manila, Tarlac, Cavite at Laguna sa Luzon, Bohol, Roxas at Bacolod sa Visayas at Saranggani at Cagayan sa Mindanao.

Nakikipagtulungan si Evangelista sa Swimming League Philippines (SLP), Philippine Swimming League (PSL) at Congress of Philippine Aquatics, Inc. (COPA).

“For the Manila event, preparation is ongoing with close coordination with the Office of Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna as well as the Manila Sports Council (MASCO),” ani Evangelista.

Gaganapin ang torneo sa Sarangani sa Pebrero 24 na itatanghal sa main city ng Sarangani Province.

Lalarga naman ang Manila Leg sa Pebrero 18 sa Rizal Memorial Swimming Pool sa Vito Cruz, Manila.
