Garcia sasampolan ang mga National athletes na ‘di lumahok sa PNG

MANILA, Philippines - May babala ang Philippine Sports Commission kaugnay sa mga National athletes na hindi lumahok sa katatapos lang na 2013 PSC-POC National Games.

Sinabi kahapon ni PSC chairman Richie Garcia na nirerebisa na nila ang pangalan ng mga National athletes na nang-isnab sa 2013 National Games kasunod ang pagpapataw ng karampatang parusa.

“There will definitely be corresponding sanctions or disciplinary actions that we will take to make sure that they understand what we meant by saying that everybody must compete in the PNG,” wika ni Garcia.

Ilan sa mga pamosong National athletes na hindi lumahok sa National Games ay sina Olympic Games campaigner Marestella Torres at Rene Herrera sa athletics.

Sina Torres at Herrera ay sinasabing may injury, ngunit kinakailangang magsumite ng medical certificate sa sports commission.

“Of course, those who are sick or not physically here in the Philippines because they are training abroad, they are excused. But for those who were around but just did not participate, then we will also refuse to include them in the list as National player,” wika ni Garcia.

Maaari ring ibaba ng PSC ang ranggo ng mga National athletes na hindi lumahok sa naturang annual sports meet.

“They will go down from Class A to Class B athletes if they lost in the PNG or also the elite members or priority athletes that did not do good, we will make some necessary adjustment to their status or their allowances,” sabi pa ng PSC chief.
