Hi-tech computer chips para masukat ang kakayahan ng mga runners sa QCIM

MANILA, Philippines - Maaari nang sukatin ng mga runner sa First Quezon City International Marathon ang kanilang performance pagkatapos ng karera sa pamamagitan ng hi-tech computer chips na makukuha nila para sa pagtakbo ng blue ribbon-event sa Oktubre 18 sa Quezon City Memorial Circle.

“Participants in the QCIM can assess and analyze their performance based on the advanced electronic timing chips or ‘champion-chips’ that we will provide them each for the race,” pahayag ni Atty. Rudy Fernandez, president ng organizing Executive Runners Club (Runnex).

“This unique feature of our event will allow them to have a computerized analysis of their run that they can use as an objective basis to improve their forms in future races,” ani Fernandez. “I don’t know of any other local marathon that offers this service.”

Bukod pa dito, may pacers sa bawat kategorya ng karera upang palakasin ang morale at hikayatin ang mga partisipante na tapusin ang kanilang event.

Sinabi ni Fernandez na ito ang dalawang dahilan kung bakit hinihikayat ang mga local at dayuhang running enthusiasts na makipagkompetensiya sa road race na hatid ng San Miguel Corporation, Philippine Star, New San Jose Builders, GMA Network, Puregold, Fern C, Fern Slim at Nissan Navara.

May hanggang ngayon pa ang pagpapalista para sa karera na tampok sa 70th founding anniversary celebration ng Quezon City sa ilalim ni Mayor Sonny Belmonte.

Maaaring magpalista sa Nike branches sa Bonifacio High Street, Taguig; The Podium, Ortigas Center; Mall of Asia sa Pasay City, Festival Mall sa Alabang; at Trinoma Mall sa Quezon City; Second Wind Running Store sa 88 Maginhawa Street, Teachers Village; Quezon City Hall ground floor; at National Engineering Center , Juinio Hall Room 403, Agoncillo St., UP Diliman Campus.
