Muntinlupa prisoners helped the flood victims

THE EAR - The Philippine Star

GOOD TURN. The calamity that recently hit Metro Manila where people could not go out of their homes because of the floods and as a result many went hungry, brought to light the charitable act of some 1,200 prisoners in the Muntinlupa prisons. The prisoners agreed among themselves to forego eating their meals and donate the food to the hungry floods victims.

SACKS OR RICE. Sacks of rice and boxes of canned foods intended for the prisoners were diverted to the flood victims, according to an Ear source. “Seguradong naka-score sa langit ang mga piniriso tungod sa ilang charitable act,” said our source.
