Cops seize P47.6 million worth of shabu in Zamboanga operation

COTABATO CITY, Philippines — Policemen seized P47.6 million worth of shabu from three dealers, who supplied certain contacts in the Bangsamoro region with their illegal merchandise, entrapped in Barangay Divisoria in Zamboanga City on Friday afternoon, April 17.
The suspects, Nurdimar Musad, 43, Zaldy Abdul, 47 and their 32-year-old female companion, Dalla Andi Sakit, are now in the custody of the Zamboanga City Police Office, which is under the Police Regional Office 9.
Ranking police officials in the Bangsamoro region told reporters on Saturday that the suspects were entrapped by anti-narcotics agents led by Major David Pintado, acting chief of the Zamboanga City Police Station 4, Major Chester Natividad of the Zamboanga City Police Drug Enforcement Unit and their superior, Col. Fidel Fortaleza, Jr., director of the Zamboanga City Police Office.
Officials of PRO 9, among them Brig. Gen. Edwin Quilates, were quoted on Saturday in radio reports in Cotabato City and nearby provinces in the Bangsamoro region as saying that local executives, among them Zamboanga City Mayor Khymer Adan Olaso, supported the entrapment operation that led to the arrest of the three suspects and the confiscation from them of seven kilos of shabu, costing P47.6 million.
Officials of PRO-BAR’s intelligence units said nine accomplices in Maguindanao del Sur and Maguindanao del Norte provinces and in Cotabato City of Musad, Abdul and Sakit, who were arrested by policemen in Zamboanga City on Friday afternoon, were entrapped with the help of local executives in four separate operations in the three areas in the past six months.
